The most popular LEGO® Technic sets of 2026 according to collectors

In mid-October 2026, with almost all of the year's LEGO® releases known, it's time to take stock of the Technic sets that made the biggest impression on collectors this year. Here is our selection based on popularity in the AFOL community, sales and visual impact.

1. LEGO® Technic 42232 Koenigsegg Megacar Sadair's Spear

The big new release of July 2026 immediately won over the community. The Sadair's Spear had been anticipated since the rumours circulated in 2025, and the set delivered on its promises. At €449.99, it's the LEGO® investment of the year for premium collectors.

2. LEGO® Technic 42240 F1 Aston Martin Aramco AMR25

With Fernando Alonso in the running for the 2026 title, this set benefited from an exceptional sporting context. The first set of the new aerodynamic F1 generation is also a reference for those who want to document the evolution of LEGO® single-seaters.

3. LEGO® Technic 42239 Batmobile Tumbler

The Technic Batmobile delighted adult DC fans who were waiting for a version with functional mechanisms. Combining the two universes, LEGO® Technic and DC Comics, created a unique set in the catalogue.

4. LEGO® Technic 42235 Ferrari 488 Pista

The most accessible Ferrari entry set of 2026 met with unexpected success: its compact format and affordable price made it the most gifted Ferrari set and the most bought as a gateway into the collection.

5. LEGO® Technic 42234 Dodge Viper GTS-R

The Viper won over fans of American car culture and 1990s endurance racing. Its racing livery is among the most photogenic of the year.
