Every August 1st, LEGO® comes out swinging with its back-to-school wave. In 2026, the Technic range is no exception: three characterful new car sets arrive simultaneously, and they deserve a mention before their official release. Here's our pick of the sets to watch.
LEGO® Technic 42239, Batmobile Tumbler
The Batmobile Tumbler joins the Technic range with set 42239. After the success of DC set 76240, which recreated the Tumbler from Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy, LEGO® is offering a new Technic interpretation with functional mechanisms. This is a highly anticipated announcement for adult Batman fans and LEGO® DC collectors.

LEGO® Technic 42235, Ferrari 488 Pista
The Ferrari 488 Pista joins the LEGO® Technic Ferrari family, alongside the Daytona SP3 42143 and the 488 GTE AF Corse 42125. The 488 Pista, a lighter, more powerful track-focused version of the 488, is one of the most loved Ferraris among purists. Its vibrant red on Kadris aluminium is going to be spectacular.
LEGO® Technic 42234, Dodge Viper GTS-R
The Dodge Viper GTS-R completes LEGO® Technic's American muscle car lineup, alongside Dom's Dodge Charger 42111. The GTS-R is the racing version of the Viper that competed at Le Mans in the 1990s, a choice that will delight endurance racing and American car fans.
What Collectors Need to Know
These three sets launch on August 1, 2026. Premium-range Technic sets (over €50) tend to sell out fast in the first few weeks, especially the Ferrari and DC sets. If you want one of these models, plan to order within a day of release.

Quick answer: compare the assembled scale, width and length with your real display area, then choose the angle that best reveals the profile. Vehicle models are often photographed from a low three-quarter view, but the clean side view can be more effective for a permanent wall presentation.
