LEGO® Technic Batmobile Tumbler 42239: the 2026 LEGO® Batman

Since 1 August 2026, the LEGO® Technic 42239 Batmobile Tumbler has been available. After the success of the DC 76240 set, which faithfully reproduced the Tumbler from Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy, LEGO® offers a new version in the Technic range. Here's what we think of it and how to display it at its best.

42239 vs 76240: what's the difference?

The DC 76240 set (2,049 pieces, released in 2021) was a very faithful static reproduction of the Tumbler with its bodywork details and deep black finish. The new LEGO® Technic 42239 adds a mechanical dimension with Technic functions, steering, suspension, perhaps a drive mechanism, in a more compact format and at a more accessible price (~€160).

For collectors who already own the 76240, the 42239 is an interesting complement with a different approach to the same vehicle. For those discovering the LEGO® Tumbler, the 42239 is an ideal entry point.
