The 40865 Buddy the Elf set belongs to the LEGO® Seasonal range. It contains 713 pieces. Its official price is $39.99. Release is set for October 1, 2026, with pre-orders open now on LEGO.com.
A first LEGO® tribute to the movie Elf
Released in 2003, Elf starring Will Ferrell has become a Christmas classic. LEGO® dedicates its very first official set to it here. The oversized Buddy figure stands on a snowy base, surrounded by a maple syrup bottle and candy canes, two direct nods to the character's obsession with sugar. A puffin completes the scene, a reference to Buddy's naive fascination with New York wildlife.

Buddy the Elf joins the LEGO® Seasonal up-scaled figure family, launched in 2025 with Santa 40820. An up-scaled Santa figure and Mrs Claus round out the 2026 wave. For pop culture and Christmas fans, this trio becomes a display all on its own.
