A cult console becomes a LEGO® Icons set
LEGO® has just unveiled set 72306 PlayStation. This set recreates the first Sony® console, released in 1994, at a near 1:1 scale. The console measures about 6 cm high, 26 cm wide and 19 cm deep.
The open button and power button are fully functional. A LEGO® controller replicates the original model and plugs into the console, just like the real thing.

Two hidden dioramas inside the console
The real surprise is on the inside. Opening the console reveals two miniature scenes. The first recreates a racing track inspired by Gran Turismo®, complete with tiny cars. The second brings to life the tropical world of Ape Escape®, featuring its iconic monkey helmet.
Both dioramas can stay folded inside the console or be displayed separately, like two mini sets within the set.
A standout in LEGO®'s retro console lineup
The PlayStation set joins an already established lineup at LEGO® Icons: the NES, the Game Boy, the Atari 2600. This is the first time Sony® joins that club.
