Creating a LEGO® Technic picture is not simply printing an image. It is a work of precision, a balance between design, material and emotion.
Every detail counts: the light, the texture, the composition… and above all the frame, which completes the work, gives it character and integrates it perfectly into its environment.
For us, the frame is not just a border. It is an integral part of the visual experience.
And to offer the best to our customers, we tested many materials, shapes and finishes before settling on aluminium, mainly black, but also available in other elegant shades to suit all interior styles.
Extensive testing for a perfect result
Before definitively selecting aluminium, we tested several types of frames: wood, PVC, composite, steel and aluminium.
Each material was evaluated according to four essential criteria:
-
Aesthetics – harmony with the visual and integration into different settings.
-
Durability – resistance over time and structural stability.
-
Weight – to ensure easy and secure attachment.
-
Finish – the perceived quality and overall appearance.
Wooden frames: a natural charm, but limited
The wooden frames offered an authentic warmth, but lacked modernity and visual rigor.
In creations inspired by the automotive and mechanical world of LEGO® Technic, the wood sometimes broke the coherence of the design.
Furthermore, this material is sensitive to moisture and can deform over time.
PVC or composite frames: lightweight, but lacking character
We also tested frames made of PVC and composite materials. Their lightness and affordability were advantages, but their visual appeal lacked depth and quality.
These frames gave too industrial an appearance, far removed from the high-end and refined world we wish to convey.
Steel: aesthetically pleasing but too heavy
Steel offered an interesting and robust industrial look, but its weight was a drawback.
In large formats, it became difficult to handle, to hang, and could damage the walls in the long term.
Therefore, aluminum has been able to combine all the advantages: lightness, strength, precision and aesthetics.
Aluminium: the perfect marriage of technology and elegance
Aluminium has proven to be the ideal frame for our LEGO® Technic paintings.
It embodies the same philosophy as the models we represent: performance, elegance and modernity.
Industrial precision at the service of design
Just like LEGO® Technic creations, the aluminum frame is rigorous, geometric and minimalist.
Its slim profile enhances the visual without dominating it. The lines are clean, the angles perfectly calibrated.
This finish perfectly reflects the spirit of LEGO® models: mechanical precision and visual harmony.
Lightweight and sturdy
Aluminium offers an ideal balance between strength and lightness.
It can be easily fixed to any type of wall, without risk of deformation over time.
It is a durable material, impervious to moisture and perfectly stable, guaranteeing each painting an impeccable finish.
Black: the visual obvious choice
Our choice naturally fell on the black aluminum frame.
This color perfectly matches the LEGO® Technic visuals and highlights the depth and contrast of each piece.
Black evokes modernity, refinement, and power. It creates a sober and elegant setting, reminiscent of the world of supercars and high performance.
A matte black frame around a Ferrari, McLaren or Bugatti painting acts like a body around an engine: discreet, but essential.
A variety of finishes for every style
Even though black is our signature, we know that every enthusiast and every interior is unique.
That's why we also offer other aluminum finishes on certain models:
-
Brushed silver : for a raw, industrial metal effect, ideal in a modern environment.
-
Matte white : for a more refined touch, perfect in a minimalist or bright interior.
-
Glossy anthracite : for a contemporary and sophisticated look.
-
Custom colors : deep red, midnight blue or other custom shades, depending on the collections (Ferrari, Red Bull, etc.).
These variations allow for the creation of bespoke compositions, adapted to each atmosphere and each collector.
The finish: a detail that changes everything
The frame profile is an essential element of visual balance.
After several trials, we chose a thin 20mm aluminium profile: a discreet but structuring thickness, which frames the image without weighing it down.
This format ensures an elegant presence while retaining the desired lightness and modernity.
Each frame is assembled manually, with millimeter precision, to guarantee perfect angles and an impeccable finish.
The frame as an extension of the artwork
The choice of aluminium is not based solely on aesthetics. It reflects a true philosophy.
LEGO® Technic models are designed around a principle of engineering, rigor and precision.
Our managers share these same values.
Aluminium is a technical, modern and timeless material. It reflects a passion for detail, performance and innovation.
The frame does not simply support the painting: it extends the visual experience.
It echoes the lines of the vehicles, the shine of the metal and the structure of LEGO® creations.
In conclusion: perfection in the details
After numerous tests and comparisons, our choice naturally fell on aluminium.
This material offers a perfect balance between lightness, strength and elegance.
The black aluminum frame has become our standard: understated, refined and universal.
But thanks to our different finishes, each collector can find the shade that matches their world.
By choosing aluminium, we wanted to stay true to what makes LEGO® Technic so strong: precision, performance and attention to detail.
Our frames are not just functional. They are the finishing touch that transforms every picture into a true work of art.
A frame should not distract the eye. It should guide it, magnify it, and sublimate the emotion it surrounds.
